Here I am in New York on the next chapter of my life. I left Active Duty military a couple months ago, and now belong to the state. No concerns about last-minute business trips (deployments), and a generally predictable schedule for 14 more years until I can retire. I dropped out of school last fall; turns out, despite months of toughing it out, animation gives me no personal satisfaction or enjoyment. I've learned that illustration is much more enjoyable, as are most other physically tangible mediums. My hopes are to enroll into a local college by the fall to pursue either a illustration or fine arts associates degree, and let's face it: af

I had PRK surgery in December, and I was constantly irritated for being unable to see or focus on anything. A week after my surgery they measured my vision at 70/20 (that's bad); I was terrified that my vision would never get better and my chances of an art-related career would be ruined. A week ago, I went to my two-month follow-up appointment and was ecstatic to hear that I officially have 20/20 vision! I'm just going to say this: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has had me riding a roller coaster of visual candy-induced orgasms from its trailers and demos alone! I don't know if this is possible, but I want to have a lovechild with this game.  In fact, since I'm currently staying in a hotel in Las Vegas, I gave a classmate some money to pick up the game for me as I have a bit of foreplay by watching more trailers.

Hey, Welcome to ArtVets! :)
What branch were you in?
Air Force. Actually, I still am in technically. I enlisted into a full-time Active Guard job in NY.
Oh, I see. I'm Navy. :XD:

My parents wanted me to join the Air Force, but I wanted to join the Navy and I did.

It's been interesting so far. I got to see Japan at least.
Very beautiful pictures and gallery :D
